NOVELTY™ provides sports analysis, statistics, predictions, opinions, and informational content for entertainment and informational purposes only. Predictions and analysis do not guarantee any particular outcome. NOVELTY™ does not provide gambling services, accept wagers, facilitate betting, or guarantee profits. Users are solely responsible for any actions taken based on information provided through the platform.
NOVELTY™ is a sports analysis and prediction service, powered by the NOVELTY™ engine. Every day it analyses statistics and market data and publishes engine-ranked, human-reviewed predictions, statistical insights, and explanations for football/soccer fixtures.
Some users may choose to use this information in connection with sports betting. Sports betting is one specific form of gambling: staking money on the outcome of a sporting event. NOVELTY™ itself does not accept wagers, hold stakes, or operate as a bookmaker — see Section 4, “Sports Analysis — NOVELTY™ Is Not a Bookmaker,” and Section 6a, “Restricted Countries,” below.
Terms & Conditions
1. Who We Are
NOVELTY™ ("the Service") is a subscription sports-analysis and prediction product operated by Locust Harvest (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", "the Company", registration number 2026/392620/07), providing daily engine-ranked, human-reviewed sports predictions and statistical analysis for football/soccer, produced by the NOVELTY engine and reviewed by our team.
2. The Service
NOVELTY™'s daily picks are unlocked with a paid subscription (R199/month) — full market, selection, odds and engine analysis on every pick. NOVELTY™ runs on live data — so once fixtures are settled, yesterday's picks are graded, we display as-is, no cherry-picking. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service.
3. Subscription & Billing
- Price: R199/month, billed in advance via PayFast on a recurring monthly basis.
- Auto-renews monthly unless cancelled; advance notice before fixed-term renewal, per the Consumer Protection Act. No fixed term exceeds 24 months without your explicit agreement for your financial benefit.
3a. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your NOVELTY™ subscription at any time from your account settings, or by emailing accounts@locustharvest.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period — you keep access to NOVELTY™'s daily picks until then, and you will not be billed again after that period ends. There is no cancellation fee.
3b. Refund Policy
If you subscribed through a marketing channel (for example, a link or advertisement outside the app itself), you have a 5-business-day cooling-off period from the date of your first payment in which you may cancel and receive a full refund, per the Consumer Protection Act.
Outside of that cooling-off period, subscription fees already paid for the current billing period are non-refundable, including if you cancel partway through a period — you retain access for the remainder of the period you have paid for instead. If you believe you were billed in error, contact accounts@locustharvest.com and we will investigate and correct any billing error.
4. Sports Analysis — NOVELTY™ Is Not a Bookmaker
NOVELTY™ publishes sports predictions and analysis for informational and entertainment purposes only — it does not accept bets, wagers, or stakes of any kind, does not hold or transmit betting funds, and is not a bookmaker or betting operator. NOVELTY™ does not facilitate the placement of any bet or wager. Any sports-odds-related information NOVELTY™ displays is presented solely as informational/statistical data and is not an invitation to place a wager through NOVELTY™. If you choose to place a bet based on NOVELTY™ content, that bet is placed through a third-party, independently licensed bookmaker of your own choosing, entirely outside this Service.
5. No Guaranteed Outcomes
Sports outcomes are inherently uncertain. Past performance of our picks — including the win/loss track record shown in the app — doesn't guarantee future results. We make no warranty about the accuracy or profitability of any pick, rating, or analysis provided.
6. Age & Responsible Use
The Service is intended for users 18 years and older only (or the legal age in your jurisdiction, if higher); age is verified at signup. NOVELTY™ is available internationally: at registration you select your country, and where we hold a helpline for it, NOVELTY™ displays your country's gambling-support helpline inside the app. South African users can also reach the Responsible Gambling Foundation helpline anytime (0800 006 008, responsiblegambling.co.za).
6a. Restricted Countries
Some users may choose to use NOVELTY™'s content in connection with sports betting, which is restricted or prohibited in some countries and territories. It is your responsibility to know and follow the laws that apply to you before using NOVELTY™. If local law where you are prohibits access to this type of content or service, you must not use the Service. Locust Harvest™ accepts no liability for your use of the Service in breach of your local laws.
7. On Licensing
NOVELTY™ is structured to be a sports information, analysis and subscription platform, not a bookmaker or gambling operator: it analyses fixtures, generates predictions, displays statistical and market data, and ranks selections for a monthly subscription fee — it does not accept wagers, collect stakes, hold or distribute gambling funds, determine or pay gambling winnings, maintain betting accounts, or act as anyone's bookmaker or betting intermediary. The National Gambling Board's own position is that online betting is legal when conducted through a provincially-licensed bookmaker; NOVELTY™ isn't conducting betting at all under that framing. This position has been researched.
8. Your Account
You're responsible for your login credentials and account activity. Forgot your password? Use the password reset link on the sign-in page.
9. Acceptable Use
No unlawful use, redistribution of picks/analysis for commercial resale, or interference with the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
Not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including any financial loss from decisions you make based on our content — see Section 5, “No Guaranteed Outcomes,” above.
11. Termination
We may suspend/terminate accounts for breach, non-payment, unlawful use, or misuse (e.g. commercial redistribution of picks).
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa; disputes fall under South African court jurisdiction. This does not remove any protection restricted-country laws give you as described in Section 6a, “Restricted Countries,” above.
Privacy Policy
Information We Collect
- Account data — name, email, phone number (with country code), country, and other signup details.
- Age-verification data — your date of birth, collected and checked at signup to confirm you're 18 or older; this is a legal requirement for this Service, not optional.
- Payment data — your subscription payment is processed by PayFast, a licensed South African payment gateway; we don't store your card details.
- Usage data — which picks you view, standard technical/device data.
How We Use It
- To verify you meet the 18+ age requirement before granting access.
- To process your subscription payment via PayFast.
- To show you the correct gambling-support helpline for your country, based on the country you select at registration.
- To generate and rank the daily picks you see, using data processed by the NOVELTY™ engine, including odds and fixture data we license from third-party sports-data providers — this is data we use to build our own analysis, not a sharing of your personal data with any provider.
Third Parties
We share data with PayFast (payment processing) only. We separately license odds/fixture data from third-party providers to power the NOVELTY™ engine and generate our picks — this is data we consume to build the Service, not a transfer of your personal information to any provider.
Your Rights (POPIA)
You have the right to: be notified of what we collect and why; access your own information; request correction or deletion; object to processing; opt out of direct marketing; protection from decisions based solely on automated processing; and the right to complain to the Information Regulator or pursue civil action. Locust Harvest (Pty) Ltd is registered with the Information Regulator (POPIA Information Officer Registration No. 2026-065778). Our Information Officer: informationofficer@locustharvest.com.
Account Deletion
You can delete your NOVELTY™ account and associated data in two ways. In the app: sign in at app.novelty.locustharvest.com, open the Picks page, and choose Delete my account at the bottom of the page — deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Web link: if you cannot access the app, visit app.novelty.locustharvest.com/delete-account to submit a deletion request, or email novelty@locustharvest.com from the address on your account; we will process the request within 30 days. When your account is deleted we remove your account, email address, password hash, and subscription records. Historical pick data is retained but disassociated from your identity, because it forms part of the public track record and is required for audit purposes. This retention is disclosed in accordance with Google Play's account deletion policy.
Data Retention
We retain account and age-verification data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and age-verification recordkeeping needs.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information, including restricting access to age-verification data to what's needed to meet our legal obligation to exclude under-18 users.
